At PDSA we are currently looking for a Chief Technology Officer to join our team based in Telford (flexible). You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of circa GBP120,000 per annum.

About the Chief Technology Officer role:

Reporting to the Director General and working as part of our Essential Leadership Team (ELT) we are looking to appoint a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As a Greenfield role, our new CTO would head up a new directorate, which would be responsible for digital, data and technology. As such, we envisage the CTO shaping PDSA's digital, data and technology activities, which would include developing our strategy, ensuring we invest wisely and building the necessary in–house capability to deliver our plans for the future.

Our CTO will guide us into a new data–led and digital first approach whereby you will be encouraged to implement innovative ways of working, processes and technologies to ensure that PDSA can further provide our public benefit. This is truly a unique opportunity for someone to drive PDSA's digital, data and technology agenda, supported by our Trustees, the ELT and the wider business as we embark on this transformation.

What we are looking for in our Chief Technology Officer:

– Proven experience of leading, developing and ensuring the delivery of agile digital and data transformation programmes at pace

– Strong market awareness. You've previously worked as CTO, CIO, CDO or a senior role within the digital, data and technology verticals

– Experience of engaging senior stakeholders up to and including C–Suite and delivering cultural change

– Skilled in leading high–performing matrixed, cross functional teams. You're a strong collaborator with a hands on approach to projects

– Experience of strategic and integrated IT planning aligned to needs of organisation

– Experience of setting and managing large budgets and producing compelling business cases (c. GBP5m)

– Proven track record in leading vendor negotiations, working with outsourced providers and strategic partners

– You can work flexibly, although our Head Office is in Telford we're convinced you can live and work anywhere in the UK
