An award–winning Managed Services Provider are currently recruiting for a Head of Cloud to help establish and develop their cloud solutions business, with a focus on Microsoft solutions.
They design, deliver and maintain over 1000 world–class IT solutions every year, from workplace, datacentre, networking and security, making customers digitally relevant, secure and progressive.
As a Head of Cloud, you will be required to take naturally grown cloud solutions, which are mostly built around the migration of 365 with some basic Azure migrations, to the development of a specialist department. This will entail of growing suitable services, as well as providing knowledge to technical staff, or recruiting new technical staff, to enable the ability to deliver said services to a mid to enterprise market (1000+ Users).
This role would be well suited to Infrastructure Architect or Technical Cloud Consultant (Who focuses on Microsoft) who can get involved in the full project lifecycle from the Pre–Sales through to Design and implementation. As well as this you will need strong leadership skills, and in return you will be given the opportunity to build out teams and services, without being restricted within decision making and the potential to be more creative in your thought process.
The skill sets we would be looking for is:
*Deep experience and interest in cloud computing, with a specific focus on Microsoft solutions.
*Have close links within Microsoft and keeps a close on developments of the platforms and roadmaps.
*Good Management and Leadership skills
*Excellent communicator who can Consult with clients and present at board level.
*The ability to develop services from a technical perspective and commercially fully understand the suitability within specific sectors.
*Be able to grow a team and provide skills growth to current engineering staff.
*Very much a doer who can still implement solution, rather than distant management.
Technical Knowledge:
*Scope of customer solutions, supporting Solutions Architects on technical requirements during the pre–sale's lifecycle.
*Technical Authority on complex Azure project delivery for enterprise customers
*Lead design / architecture workshops
*Working with wider project teams to implement solutions.
*Must be able to design & build Azure solutions, including being able to script with PowerShell.
*Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluate alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyse for total systems.
The role be a mixture of home–working, office work (Birmingham), and travel to customers when required.
