Business Analyst – Highways
A Graduate Business Analyst is required to help provide business analysis services to support the successful design and delivery of the Derbyshire Highways (DCCHS) FHM. The role will be required to work with the DCCHS functions to gain an in–depth understanding of the operational model required to meet the strategic objectives of the authority and highways service. The graduate business analyst will help design and document the operational blueprint; including the processes, capabilities and resources required to deliver the change.

A key objective of this post is to develop the skills and experience of the graduate as a business analyst with a view of increasing their future role and responsibilities.

The main duties of the Business Analyst are:
??To help identify, design and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a detailed level, focusing on efficiency and quality improvement.
??To help identify and develop process improvements, re–engineering and/or recommending elimination.
??To help identify all the data requirements for the design and implementation of the future operating model ensuring data is relevant, accurate and complete.
??To help review all current IT systems, identifying the necessary integration, changes or replacement required to support the future operating model.
??To help produce comprehensive and clear business analysis documentation.
??To effectively collaborate and communicate with other members of the project team, highways officers and members, understanding requirements, building support, and helping to resolve issues and challenges.

Required Skills & Experience:
??The ability to investigate operational needs or problems and assist in the recommendation of service improvement and business solutions.
??The ability to contribute to recommendations to improve services and understand the importance of evidence–based design or analysis.
??The ability to identify service and process improvement opportunities with guidance. You can contribute to the implementation of proposed solutions.
??Good oral and written communication skills.
