Rare opportunity for a Commercial Training Sales / Business Development Manager to join MKC Training based in Chatham, Kent.
MKC Training delivers a wide range of professional training courses to the civilian and military markets. This role will be to manage and develop key accounts and the wider sales and marketing aspects of the Civil commercial training operation.
You will be selling remote, virtual and actual Project Management, ITIL and other training courses, as part of a widening portfolio, as well as managing the 2 person Civil Training team delivering assigned commercial training projects, measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, managing relevant budgets, contributing to the business planning process for MKC Training, and taking account of the Company's business priorities and objectives, in order to deliver high quality innovative training.
This is outstanding opportunity to become a pivotal member of the senior team of this developing, highly professional training provider, delivering education to the very highest standard.
Qualifications:
Degree or degree level calibre experience in a relevant subject
Five GCSE passes or equivalent standard qualification, including English and mathematics
Prince 2 or equivalent project management qualification – Desirable
Safeguarding qualification L3 – Desirable
Assessor qualification – IQA or equivalent standard – Desirable
Essential
Background in B2B and B2C training course sales, account management and sales management
Proven experience in training management.
Experience of running remote, virtual and actual training teams FE, HE or Commercial Training Experience.
Proven working experience in project management.
Business planning experience.
Client–facing and internal communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to easily convey complex technical information.
Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Supervisory / management experience.
Track record in effective and appropriate use of influencing and persuasion skills. Excellent digital skills.
Experience in commercial training operations
Experience of selecting and booking appropriate venues for classroom training and events
Commercial sales, Account management and sales management experience
Desirable
Proven experience in training innovation
Practical training delivery experience
Marketing experience
Market research skills.
