Interim External Auditor  

We are looking for a number of external auditors to start immediately with our client.

The key responsibilities are:

The preparation and completion of high–quality audit work programmes;
The timely audit of annual accounts, audited to professional standards;
Deputising for the Audit Lead if and when required;
Acting as Reporting Officer for junior staff including performance assessment and day to day management and desk training;
Keeping Audit Manager/Audit Lead informed of progress;
Maintaining knowledge of and good relations with the audited body;
Conducting fieldwork (compliance and substantive testing, analytical review, etc.)
Producing high quality audit write ups and ensuring high quality outputs are delivered by more junior staff;
Submitting completed audit work (e.g. examination and certification journals) to task managers;

Key criteria:

Ideally ACA Qualified – ACCA/CIMA to be considered also
Experience with external audit, ideally from Big 4, top 10 and beyond will also be considered
Experience playing a key part in undertaking end–to–end Audit process
Experience within Central Government is desired
Advanced excel skills
A can–do attitude

The position sits inside IR35 and is paying £350–500 per day depending on experience.
