You'll drive enhancements in business intelligence and corporate reporting and manage the Group's financial reporting function, including the year end audit and statutory accounts production. In this role, you will...Devise and prepare timely management information for Business Units, Exec Board and Council across the Charity, providing high value analysis and insight and identifying opportunities and risksLead and coordinate the financial forecasting processes (Annual Budget, Quarterly Forecasts, Medium Term Financial Forecasts) to support the development of strategic direction plans and to ensure the robust management of CRUK's reservesProvide ad hoc analysis and challenge to enable the Executive Board to evaluate all aspects of CRUK's business performance in pursuit of its strategic goalsManage and lead the annual external reporting process & consolidation, working closely with the auditors and other advisors You'll also manage a large team of 18 people, with responsibility for 3 direct reports, so will ensure consistency of approach across financial reporting and management reporting to ensure clarity of reporting to all audiences and ensure Exec Board and Council have full insight into Group structures and interdependencies. To be successful in this role, we'll be looking for you to demonstrate the following experience as part of your application:Demonstrable experience of FP&A decision support success within a complex organisationSignificant experience of financial modelling using Microsoft ExcelExperience of having led an external audit expertly, managing the process, the timetable and the relationship with the auditorsTeam management and leadership experience, in a role in which you have built a customer–focused team culture and have been responsible for setting and monitoring team objectives and KPIs. We are also looking for you to have the relevant CCAB or equivalent qualification, and expert knowledge of accounting statute and standards, and ideally as they apply to charities (including SORP/FRS102).
