Project Manager Transitional Housing

£31,465 per annum
37.5 hours per week

YMCA Downslink Group are looking for a Project Manager to join our Transitional Housing Project which provides a low support housing offer for young people who are almost tenancy ready. We currently provide transitional housing for 132 young people aged 18 to 35, across Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill. Supported by Homes England grant funding, the scheme enables us to lease empty properties from private landlords and refurbish them to a good standard, to provide affordable and safe accommodation for young people in housing need.
In this position you will be able to develop new skills in an exciting project which maximises choice and control for young people. This is an exciting, flexible management role which will give you the chance to develop new skills in a creative way
Role Responsibilities
Oversight the housing management for a range of properties across the county.
Develop this valuable service with residents and our partners from across the county.
Oversee the day to day operation of the service to ensure that the requirements of the service specification are met.
Key Requirements
Excellent communication and management skills.
A sound knowledge of safeguarding, relevant housing law, landlord and housing management responsibilities.
Experience of providing and/or overseeing housing management and maintenance services.
Experience of managing a team to deliver an exceptional service to young people.
A driving licence and access to a car.
The post holder may have previously held a position as a Deputy Manager or Senior Project Worker a local authority or housing association/project.
