Head of Professional Services / Head of Tax and Audit Division (option for part remote working)

The Role – Head of Professional Services / Head of Tax and Audit Division
Reporting to the CEO, as the Head of Professional Services you will oversee our client facing tax and audit division, managing a team of more than 20 colleagues delivering the professional auditing, tax advice and accountancy services we provide to over 100 clients.
You will be given the autonomy to take full responsibility for ensuring the financial and people deliverables that are set out annually for the Professional Services – Tax and Audit Division are achieved.
Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:
* Developing and mentoring the team to build skills, capability and competence
* Developing strong relationships with all clients, ensuring SLA's are met, along with customer satisfaction and the retention of existing clients
* Securing new business within the automotive industry and attending networking events
* Understanding relevant domestic and international tax laws and providing appropriate strategic advice and guidance to the ASE Board
* Communicating technical concepts to non–specialists in a clear and comprehensible manner
* Participating as an effective team member of the ASE Board
* Keeping ahead of all developments in terms of accountancy and taxation, and in particular in terms of its direct application and relevance to automotive dealers
* Responding to changes within the motor industry within a timely manner
Our Requirements – Head of Professional Services / Head of Tax and Audit Division
* Proven experience at a senior manager, director or partner level, with strong technical taxation and accountancy experience
* Hold a suitable taxation or accountancy qualification such as CTA, ACA or ACCA along with membership of a suitable professional body such as CIOT, ICAEW, ITAA or ACCA
* Experience in leading a division and being accountable for the performance of that division
* Excellent leadership skills with a positive approach and the ability to motivate others
* Strong commercial acumen with an ability to identify opportunities
* Be flexible, decisive and not afraid to make important decisions
* Full UK driving licence for occasional travel to meet clients across the UK
