A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a friendly, busy team in Daventry as Deputy Head of Sales Support. The successful candidate will provide day–to–day assistance to the Head of Sales Support including the management and support for the Sales Support Team.

In the absence of the Head of Sales Support, the Deputy Head of Sales Support will be the main point of contact within the department, motivating and developing the team and ensuring the smooth running of the Sales Office.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm

This is a full–time, permanent position.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

* Provide day–to–day assistance with the management of the Sales Office Team

* Optimise sales opportunities and provide effective customer feedback

* Liaise with current and potential contractors

* Provide day–to–day assistance with the management of the Sales Office Team processes, ensuring orders are processed and despatched in a timely manner

* Provide day–to–day assistance to the management of the Sales Office Team to ensure information in inputted, logged, and processed accurately

* Provide day–to–day assistance with the management of the Sales Office Team to ensure individual actions/targets are in place and met to identify, qualify, and develop all leads, prospects, and customers

* Ensure top 20 contractors are contacted each month for customer experience feedback and logged as appropriate

* Proactive contact with customers to ascertain reasons behind inactive accounts

* Provide feedback to external sales

* Support the Sales Office Team to develop individual's sales/customer service skills

* Work collaboratively with the Sales Director and Marketing department to report on customer and business trends

* Provide additional support as/when necessary to the wider team

About You:

* Minimum 3 years' experience of working within a sales/procurement environment

* Experience of managing and motivating a team delivering customer service excellence

* Experience of managing a team to deliver performance against targets

* Experience of leading and developing a team in a competitive sales environment

* Experience of managing procedures around sales order processing and sales office systems

* Ability to work to tight deadlines

* Experience of budget monitoring and control

* Ability to support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems
