A local authority based in Newbury are looking for a Director of Development to join their team. This is a temporary vacancy which is ongoing.
The main purpose of the role is to lead the Development & Regulation Department (public protection, planning, development and economic development activity, including homlessness and gypsy and traveller provisions, for the Council).
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;
Previous experience in a large, complex, multi–service organisation
Proven track record of successful leadership in a directly related service environment
Candidates will ideally hold Membership of relevant professional body
Management qualification (e.g. ILM7/MBA)
