Head of Finance

A thriving Education charity who have had a successful 2020 are now looking to recruit a new Head of Finance to lead the finance team of three, and reports directly to the Director of Operations. The Head of Finance will directly line manage a Finance Officer and a Senior Finance Officer. The Head of Finance will be responsible and oversee the charity's financial strategies as well as the organisations procedures and activities.Job requirements:Work closely with the Programme Managers and budget holders ensuring they understand information they receive and its potential risks and implicationsWork with the Director of Operations to Implement and monitor corporate planPrepare the year end files including reconciliations and data analysisLead on year end and building relationships with auditorsWorking with a large number of varied budgets within the organisationPreparing management accounts for all the different programmes/departmentsEnsure quarterly and annual budgets are accurately preparedLook to implement and upgrade their accounting software which is currently Sage Line 50Lead on producing budgets and the revised forecast as well as producing quarterlyforecastsManage finance team as well as ensuring all reconciliations are complete Skillset:The Head of Finance will have a strong background within a charity or not for profit organisation. They must be confident with producing budgets and forecasts as well as the ability to take a lead on the financial year end. It would be beneficial to have worked with an accounting system such as Sage Line 50. To be considered for the Head of Finance position you will need to have proven track record of working within a senior finance role.This permanent role is to start in June and charity sector experience is required.
