£80,000 - £85,000 + 15% Bonus

Aila is excited to be partnered with a London based, leading, listed and global business in the recruitment of an experienced, qualified accountant and finance leader to join the company as a Senior Finance Manager on a contract basis for the next 14 months, covering Maternity Leave.

We’re looking for an ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant with substantial PQE and the ability to lead a large, technical reporting team who will be responsible for a regional monthly accounting close within an international group environment. The primary purposes of this position is to manage the Accounting team and to support the Finance Director within a US listed EMEA Retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the General Ledger Accounting team (9 heads) and ensure deadlines are met according to the month end close timetable
  • Oversee the production of monthly accounting pack (financial statements, supporting work-papers, variance analyses and commentaries) for all EMEA operating entities
  • Prepare specific management accounts work-papers and calculations
  • Manage production of accurate monthly US GAAP management accounts
  • Coordinate post-close provision of information to US colleagues as requested
  • Ensure clean annual external audit report re EMEA activities
  • Coordinate PBC requests from US office and auditors to facilitate external audit and SEC filings
  • Ensure SOX / Internal Audit and Statutory Audits compliance and prompt filings
  • Prepare UK statutory accounts for one of the two UK subsidiaries
  • Support EMEA Tax team re corporate and indirect tax work
  • Ensure accounting processes are compliant with established SOX policies
  • Be point person for post-close requests from US for additional support to the submitted

To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified Senior Finance Manager with considerable PQE and previous GL and people management experience, as part of a large quoted international group, ideally with US headquarters.
