Parkinson Lee Executive Search are delighted to be working on a retained basis with a global manufacturing and distribution organisation, based in Yorkshire, who are looking to appoint a COO into their global executive leadership team.
Working closely with the CEO, the primary responsibility of this position will be to lead and oversea the daily operations of the group functions in accordance with the strategic plan and operational and capital expenditure budgets.
Key responsibilities include:
* To assist the CEO and the CFO in developing and overseeing the long–term business strategies of the group and establishing the appropriate organizational structure
* Developing an annual operating plan that supports the group's long–term strategy whilst keeping C–suite briefed on all operational and revenue performance, resolutions of issues and project development in advance of Board meetings
* Assisting the C–Suite in overseeing the group's achievement and maintenance of a satisfactory competitive position within our industries
* Oversee all growth and change projects including a full review of the end to end supply chain across the group
* Embracing and driving a culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service and encourages individual integrity
* Assess and manage the principal risks of the groups' business within operations (proposals, projects and staffing).
* Conduct employee performance reviews and ensure that direct reports adhere to their respective job duties whilst continually ensuring that all internal procedures are updated and followed by all staff
* As part of the Group Leadership Team, attend all global leadership meetings and help plan and guide strategic global growth
Ultimately, this position will be charged to deliver key business and functional results whilst working towards and developing the core strategic direction of the outlined group business plan. The successful candidate will have a background in engineering and operations, and will have operated at board level within an international engineering/manufacturing group
