An ambitious manufacturing lead who can develop through to the General Manager will play a key role in driving this food manufacturing facility forward. This food business is keen to implement a strong succession plan with this role at the centre.
With opportunity for wider exposure on projects to ensure you can develop through to the next level this role offers challenge and long–term career enhancement. This role incorporates knowledge from a strong production background, inherent leadership skills, the ability to evaluate data at speed to make effective decisions while taking the team with you. With the combination of the day–to–day pace of supplying the major retailers this needs a balance to focus on the medium and strategic objectives. The Role
Heading up the Manufacturing team on site requires a confident operator with the experience, knowledge and understanding of complex food manufacturing for retail. As the Head of Manufacturing, you will be setting the standards and behaviours that will impact and guide the Senior Leadership Team and ultimately cascade through the business.
We are looking for the following in terms of experience:
Manufacturing background in food is essential.
High energy – you thrive on fast paced, deadline driven environments.
Numerically competent with the agility to think and act appropriately in a timely way.
Detailed approach ensuring constant awareness of production status/variances etc.
Passionate – you know where the business is, what levers to pull to move in the right direction.
A confident operator able to bring structure, calm and focus to the fore.
Financial business awareness. Understanding the P&L and the drivers within manufacturing and the wider functions.
Well networked across the food industry.
First class communicator.
