We are now supporting a key client in the search for a talented Operations Director to oversee a large food manufacturing site while sitting within their senior operations management team. You will also oversee the site P&L and all site activities including engagement with key customers.
Alongside general site leadership the role will be about promoting a continuous improvement culture and implementing new processes to drive performance. You will need to bring energy and motivate your team to progress the manufacturing site always looking to remain best in class.
As all UK food manufacturing continue to develop and change with challenges around labour, cost and automation there will be an emphasis on future proofing the business operationally and working closely with other senior managers to improve OEE and deliver margin, quality and service.
The business has its operational and supply chain challenges, as with every food manufacturer, so if you enjoy driving change, taking people on the journey and making a difference throughout the operation and supply chain this is a great opportunity to action that.
Of graduate calibre, it is likely that you have experience of running food production units already and bring a wealth of knowledge and leadership. This opportunity will test your man management, planning and organisational skills as it is a 'hands on' culture, yet you will be given the opportunity to test your strategic thinking in creating an operational matrix that is simply way ahead of its competitors.
We would expect you to have held senior operations roles in short shelf life food products and also experience with the logistics element of the supply chain.
If you are ready for the next challenge, you are prepared for hard work and you want to play a part in shaping a forward thinking business, then this role is for you.
The remuneration will be dependent on experience, but this is a great opportunity to really implement some change in an already successful and growing business.
