Inspire Education Group

Salary GBP65k (including market rate uplift) & pension and benefits

On 1 August 2020, Peterborough Regional College now known as Peterborough College and New College Stamford, now known as Stamford College, merged to form Inspire Education Group alongside University Centre Peterborough. The Group also delivers specialist commercial training for employers locally, regionally and nationally.

The Group now has over 1,250 staff, 8,500 Further Education students, 800 Higher Education students and 1,400 apprentices, meaning the IEG community is nearly 12,000 strong, and is financially secure with an annual income of approximately GBP44 million.

We seek to transform the lives of our students and trainees, preparing each for their next step, whatever that might be and we support employers to develop their people and their organisations. We serve diverse communities in Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire and strive to make a positive contribution to the region's prosperity and wellbeing.

The Group Director of Management Information Systems is a new, senior post that is fundamentally concerned with making best use of data, reporting and information systems to achieve our ambitious strategic aims and objectives. Reporting into the Deputy CEO you will be ready to lead in a cross college role motivating an experienced team in both a strategic and operational environment.

We require a high–calibre, senior level leader who can demonstrate the ability to develop and lead teams across a complex, multi sited organisation. You will not only bring people along but also operate inclusively and collegiately to harness ideas and embed ownership. An expert in your field you will be creative, dynamic and outward looking; someone who understands information systems in an FE environment, particularly Prosuite FE Solutions.
We will expect you to have a strong affinity with the transformational nature of the education and skills development of young people and adults and a strong alignment with our core values of INSPIRE: Innovative, Nurturing, Sustainable, Passionate, Inclusive, Respectful and Excellent.

This is an exciting time for Inspire Education Group and we believe our ambitious and forward–looking Strategic Plan will ensure we continue to make a demonstrable and positive contribution to the communities we serve.

The Inspire Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff and volunteers must therefore be willing to apply for DBS clearance at an Enhanced level.

We are also passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive organisation, which is a great place to work. We welcome applications from talented people of diverse characteristics including age, disability, gender identity and expression, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or any marginalised group. We also pride ourselves on being a Disability Confident Employer and offer an invitation to the first stage of the selection process for people with disabilities that wish to be considered under the Disability Confident scheme where all of the essential criteria in the person specification are met.

Closing date: Monday 31st May 2021.
