Our client, a leading technology manufacturing business who operate in diverse markets on a global scale and support several industries including automotive, medical, energy and consumer electronics currently has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Procurement.
Reporting directly into the Finance Director they are keen to hire a procurement expert with the capability to operate both strategically and hands on. In this all–encompassing role you will get the chance to operate at a strategic level however also take responsibility for day–to–day procurement activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Negotiating with international suppliers, driving supplier reviews, audits and contact agreements.
Monitoring and reviewing supplier KPI's, delivery and quality performance, and improving where required.
Identifying potential savings and implementing cost reduction initiatives for goods and services across the business.
Liaising with the suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Obtaining quotes, placing purchase orders and analysing data in order to make appropriate sourcing decisions.
Communicating schedule changes to internal customers and suppliers.
Challenging current practices, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing process changes.
Support and development of existing team
