If you are a Learning and Development Specialist with a desire to work in a standalone L&D role within a small and fast paced values–based organisation this could be a great career move. Our client offers agile working, flexible working and a trusting and empowering environment that puts people first. Our client is flexible in terms of how your working week would look, although there would be some expectation to work from the Cardiff office on occasion, you are able to work remotely.

Our client offers 29 days holidays and 8 bank holidays the organisation believes work life balance is important, this role is a 35 hour per week role.

Duties:

This is an incredibly varied role, that will allow you to work with colleagues at all levels of the business. You will:

Contribute to the profitability and cost effectiveness of Learning & Development processes
Recommend best–practice and innovative learning solutions to meet identified needs, promoting a range of blended learning methods in line with the 70:20:10 learning model
Act as the first point of contact in respect of all learning and development queries and issues, acting as a true 'partner' providing timely and professional advice
Proactively work with leadership teams to plan spend against budget ensuring we maximise value for the business as a whole
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety framework, report risks appropriately and implement management plans for L&D areas of responsibility
Work with the Staff Forum to encourage employee voice
Ensure the organisation effectively fulfils its obligations and commitment to diversity and inclusivity
Work with stakeholders to ensure all learning and development activities have clear measures of success in place at the start and are evaluated throughout.
Work alongside the People & Communications Partners to deliver a holistic OD service to the business.
Work with the Board to identify development needs and induction improvements
Manage the digital learning platform, curating content and acting as the expert advisor for all LMS activity
Identify and facilitate the use of internal expertise and liaise effectively with external providers as appropriate, building positive relationships We are looking for a candidate who:

Is experienced in a stand–alone L&D role or has had responsibility that's similar
CIPD qualified or qualified within L&D, Coaching.
A psychometric testing qualification would be desirable
Experience within the TNA, design and delivery of leadership programmes, talent management programmes, induction, digital learning, career pathway / apprenticeship schemes
A L&D practitioner with a blended learning approach
Experience with LMS / LXP, Learning pool or similar
