This exclusive instruction is for a Junior-to-Mid-level Projects Counsel (circa 3 years PQE) to join an energy generation and storage business with asset throughout the UK and Europe.

Client Details

Our client is a privately owned infrastructure business with significant power and energy related assets throughout the UK and Europe.

Description

Reporting into the Head of Legal (and under their supervision), you will advise and support stakeholders at all levels of the business on commercial and legal risk pertaining to financial, project and development decisions.

You draft and advise on project documentation relating to the full cycle of the energy related projects in which this organisation engages.

Profile

The successful candidate is likely:
  • to be a England and Wales or Common Law qualified solicitor or barrister
  • to have at least 2 years* of post qualification experience gained within the UK in either a law firm which is Chambers ranked for projects and infrastructure work or, alternatively, within an engineering, construction or infrastructure business which is known for its operation in the energy space.
  • to have experience working with all or a large proportion of the following - standard form construction contracts, sub-contractor agreements, bonds, warranties, professional appointments, EPC and O&M Agreements, Procurement advice, Financing matters

Experience of the Energy Generation Sector and Storage, as well as other in house matters (eg: Employment, Commercial Property and Corporate) will be looked upon favourably by are not essential.

Please note that all levels of PQE will be considered but the salary on offer is commensurate with a junior to mid-level role
