Business Development Manager
GBP21,000 – GBP25,000 per annum + commission scheme + duvet days!

Courtney Recruitment is a recruitment agency that supplies to the professional services sector, and has a strong reputation in Liverpool.

We are looking to bring on board a confident and professional Business Development Manager who knows the Liverpool business landscape very well, and has engaged with/sold to the local professional business for some time.

You will have networked in the city for some years, and be familiar with key networks in the city.

Our aim is to develop key relationships in the City Region, to identify potential businesses to engage with, identify a method of engagement to pursue and to go ahead and form those connections, develop & nurture those relationships and become a known and trusted representative of Courtney Recruitment within this community.

Your involvement will help to raise the profile and awareness of the brand of Courtney Recruitment within not only our local area, but across the North West & further afield – With Zoom, the walls have come down completely, so we can literally look to engage clients anywhere in the world now!

Are you the right person for the job?
We are looking for a person who already has relationships in, has sold into or has an understanding of many of the leading local businesses, business owners & networks in Liverpool.
Someone who is comfortable in a sales role
A great communicator with a likeable personality
You will be hard working and highly motivated in your research, network building and relationship development.

You will have a really natural ability to develop business to business relationships to focus on getting to know companies across the Merseyside area – and further afield now that Zoom is so widely accepted! You will also have a willingness to be flexible in terms of your working hours, as there may be early/late networking events to attend.

A little bit about us??????
A small yet perfectly formed business (team of 4 at the moment) with an office in the heart of the business district in Liverpool city centre, run by 2 Directors, Elaine Courtney & Stuart Reed.

We are a small but growing business, we work in a relaxed casual working environment and are open, honest and friendly individuals, and of course, you won't be tied to your desk all day every day, we're happy for our employees to have a blend of working from the office and working from home.

We survived the pandemic (phew), and have come through it even stronger, with major plans to grow our team, and progress as a company.

Salary & Benefits for our Business Development Manager
We have a basic salary of GBP21,000 – GBP25,000 in mind – However, depending on suitability to the role, we would of course be open to discussions on this.

As well as this, we will create a bespoke commission structure for this role, taking your ideas into account, developing this into something that is a win–win for all concerned, but we anticipate the OTE to be in the region of GBP50,000.

Duvet days – Yes, at present, its 2 days a year when you can text in and say 'I don't fancy working today, I'm staying under my duvet if that's ok?' – and as long as this is not to the detriment of the clients or the workflow, then no problems!

We like to reward our team players well wherever possible beyond this financial agreement too.
