Door Systems Engineer

They have a new opportunity for an Automatic Door Systems Engineer to service, repair and install new automatic door equipment, and gate equipment, carry out in depth diagnostic checks and fault finding. You will Write up fully comprehensive reports based on findings.

The successful candidate must have a good electrical background. Previous experience in the door, gate and roller shutter industry is preferred although electrical engineers will be considered with relative experience. Occasionally assist with garage doors. You must be reliable, hardworking and trustworthy, customer focused and fit within a small team.

Areas of travel will include East Anglia and Midlands and at short notice. Must be flexible to carry out emergency calls and be competent with battery tools.

Person Specification
Proven experience within an electrical role, and ideally in the gate and door industry.
Hold a CSCS card, if not this will have to be achieved within the first 2 months of employment.
Full clean driving licence. Clean DBS.
BS EN 16005 Auto door qualification and Gate Safety Certificate/Diploma is beneficial but not essential as the company will offer the qualification
Welding an advantage but not essential.

Hours: 40 hours per week 7.30am to 4.30pm. But willing to work outside of these hours to complete jobs for the day. Must carry out Duty Engineer Roster presently 1 in 8
