Business Analyst – Business Change – GBP600 Per Day Inside IR35

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Change focused Business Analyst to join an exciting organisation within the insurance industry. The Senior Business Analyst will use excellent analytical and communication skills, together with a wide range of tools and techniques to help elicit functional and non–functional requirements and articulate these into backlogs of work. They will also look to share their knowledge and skills within the Business Analysis community.

The Senior Business Analyst will use their experience of working within an Agile change environment and with different Agile frameworks/methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe) to support the delivery of business value.

Role:

??Understanding of the bigger picture' & the analysis tools/techniques used to map this.
??Conduct feasibility assessments of proposed business change
??Create Epics/Features/User Stories to underpin business needs and define their value.
??Collaboration with Product Owners on Product Backlog prioritisation.
??Work collaboratively with Scrum Teams and Product Owners/Stakeholders to refine business needs and dependencies.
??Provide light support documentation to assist in creating a shared understanding of the proposition/business need (e.g. customer journey, business process map – using the appropriate modelling tool).
??Effective planning and organisation to ensure the Product Backlog can adequately feed the Scrum Team(s) for current and future increments.
??A key facilitator between the Product Owner, Stakeholders and Scrum Teams e.g. clarifying business needs, scope, resolving issues.

Requirements:

??Understand the importance and context of strategy.
??Ability to use an operating model in the analysis practice.
??Ability to plan and manage own work–load e.g. personal planning, organisation.
??Awareness of planning at a programme, project and sprint /increment level for work package and assignments e.g. Epic/Features/User Stories.
??Contribute to prioritisation of the Product Backlog.
??Facilitation skills – Good listening and facilitation skills.
??Good communication, facilitation and presentation skills. This includes written, verbal communications, visualisations.
??Knowledge of analysis techniques and ability to apply them at a project level e.g. brainstorming, reverse engineering, process mapping, causal analysis, wire framing, context diagrams etc. Ability to understand the project context but also work at a detailed level.
??Know what design principles are.
??Knowledge of and can apply the philosophy, methods, principles and techniques of Agile within the business analysis approach.
??Knowledge of Project and Change Management processes/practices used in an Agile delivery environment.
??Broad understanding of the competitive environment.
??Appreciation of risk e.g. difference between risks, issues and probability. Ability to identify risks in analysis.
??Broad understanding of the context of a life and distribution company
