We are currently looking to recruit a Branch Director, to be responsible for the smooth running and profitability of the Bedford branch.

What does the role involve?
As Branch Director, you will manage the day to day operations of the branch, including sales, administration and logistics, leading by example to motivate your team to deliver an outstanding service. You will be responsible for the sales activities within the branch, taking responsibility for the delivery of sales and profit growth and personally managing relationships with key customers and suppliers. The Branch Director will set direction for the operational side of the branch, ensuring resources are optimised in order to minimise cost and maximise profit. You'll provide leadership, coaching and motivation to all team members, recognising the achievements of talented managers, supervisors and staff who are able to drive the business forward. In addition, you'll promote the importance of Health & Safety, of environmentally responsible behaviour and the highest standards of business ethics and corporate requirements.
The successful candidate will require:
Self–motivation, with the ability to embrace change and motivate others to do so
A background in the Construction industry, ideally in the local area
A proven track record in meeting targets and building strong relationships with customers and exploiting business opportunities
Previous exposure to a broad range of business and operational issues
Tenaciousness, ambition and level–headedness, especially under pressure
Great interpersonal skills, a desire to learn and good IT skills
The ability to manage a varied team in order to achieve a common goal
