Business Development Manager, Poole, GBP60,000 package
Role purpose
As Business Development Manager you'll identify and negotiate sales opportunities, whilst overseeing the growth strategy and financial position of this global, state–of–the–art, technology manufacturer.
As Business Development Manager you'll:
Manage the Business Development team
Proactively identify and solicit new business opportunities
Prepare project cost estimates and produce technical proposals
Negotiate the closure of sales opportunities
Formulate department budgets and forecasts
Plan, manage and participate at exhibitions, trade shows and conferences
Visit client sites both in the UK and overseas
Be knowledgeable of and comply with legislation and codes of practice
As Business Development Manager your skills and experience will include:
Technical sales and solutioning
Proven success negotiating and closing commercial contracts
Background in the Navy would be advantageous
The ability to plan, scope and generate complex proposals
Strong commercial acumen
Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High–level of proficiency across Microsoft Office programmes
