Interim Service Director – Development & Regulatory Services

I am working with a Local Authority in the South East who are looking to appoint a Service Director for Development & Regulations for a period of 6–9 months. You will be working alongside the Exec Director of Place in shaping all Place services in the council such as Development, Housing, Planning & Public Protection.

Responsibility/experience:
– Lead the Development & Regulation Department (public protection, planning, development and economic development activity,

– Deputise for the Executive Director (Place) in relation to Development & Regulation services and broader Place agenda

– Ensure effective management of the main functions of the Department namely Development & Planning, Housing and Public Protection

– Consult with the community as appropriate on new corporate proposals and developments and to ensure that the views of all sectors of the community are reflected in the recommendations made
