Finance Manager
Location: Middlesex
Our client is one of the leading scaffolding and roofing contractors in the South East who has worked on some of the most prestigious projects with several of the world's largest Main Contractors.
The business is looking to identify an experienced Finance Manager who will report to the Group Directors and manage the company finances.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing the day–to–day financial operations, monitoring the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement and minimise risk
*Prepare monthly management accounts and year end reports
*Manage a financial team of Accountants and Financial Assistants
*Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long–term and short–term decision making
*Present financial reports to Directors and Executives on a monthly basis
*Oversee transactions, payroll and invoicing
*Manage relationships with external sources including Tax preparation, Auditing, Banking, and other financial needs as necessary
*Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the business
*Understand and adhere to new and existing financial regulations and legislation
The successful candidate will require the following:
*A background in the Construction industry including an understanding of contract management, costings, business principles and practices
*Either a recognised qualification (ACCA/ACA/ACMA) or have a minimum of 10 years in the industry and be "Qualified by Experience"
*Previous experience of managing finance staff
*Understanding of data privacy standards
*Competent with all accounting legislation including UKGAAP
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
*Excellent organisational, planning, and problem–solving skills
*Advanced MS Excel skills
*A valid driving licence and car owner due to the location of the office
