My client is a successful, established and growing UK Division of a larger, international company. They are looking to recruit a qualified accountant into this Finance Director role. As part of the executive team, you will be responsible for supporting the Managing Director and ensuring their continued growth and development, whilst also managing all aspects of the finance function and supporting all back-office operations.
Managing a team of 6, including an experienced qualified accountant, you will be responsible for the ongoing management of all procedures for finance, as well as implementing new regulations and processes. You will oversee the routine reporting, including statutory filings and financial accounting. You will ensure that strong management reporting is produced which is relevant and useful to the business. You will work closely with the European-based Group finance team to produce the required financial information, hitting deadlines and maintaining the highest possible standards.
A key success factor will be your ability to support the Managing Director. This will include attending executive meetings and providing costing, profitability and project accounting reviews. You will produce the budgets and forecasts, along with insightful analytical review.
Tasks include:
You will be a qualified accountant and have worked with senior, non-finance managers and directors. You will have the ability to support a busy Managing Director and oversee all back-office functions, whilst also ensuring that all financial reports, statutory accounting and Group requirements are filed with the highest level of accuracy. You will have worked in a SME environment, possess the required 'hands-on' attitude, whilst also having the ability to operate in a larger, more complex company.
