Farrans is currently recruiting a Community Business Partner to coordinate the delivery of project and region–specific social value outcomes in the community.

Embed a customer–led approach and support delivery of project, region KPIs including delivering demonstrable social value and associated case studies, employment skill plans, considerate constructors' schemes and general public liaison.

We are looking for a dependable manager who has experience of working with a variety of stakeholders and on multi–disciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* General Community Engagement & Customer Care

* Identify and agree requirements and commitments to community engagement/social value activities with the project management team at site set up stage.

* Work collaboratively with our clients to ensure that community activities and strategies are developed/delivered exceeding their aspirations.

* Ensure that communities are engaged in the project plans and to ensure that project risk is mitigated from within the community.

* Coordinate delivery of agreed project communication plans, provide appropriate, timely information to all stakeholders.

* Responsibility of implementing Company and bespoke contract customer liaison and care standards

Employment & Skills, Wider Social Value Targets and KPI's

* Co–ordinate delivery of project specific social value requirements.

* Engage with local schools, colleges and employability organisations.

* To be fully conversant with the use of Social Media as a tool for the delivery of our community engagement activities.

* Co–ordinate and attend support activities in schools and colleges and engage with local charities and groups in relation to social benefits.

Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS)

* Co–ordinate with site management teams to ensure projects are prepared for audits.

* Provide site management with advice/guidance to assist on the areas of CCS related to community engagement.

* Be present at CCS audits where possible and liaise with Company CCS champion to ensure best practice.

Assist with Tenders

* Work with CSR Manager to provide responses to PQQ's and tender questions relevant to the CBP job role.

* Support with research on client drivers, local requirements and potential deliver partners to ensure relevant answers.

* Ensure any targets proposed are aligned with client requirements or reflective of national standards e.g. CITB National Skills Academy

Health & Wellbeing (H&W)

* Assist to ensure that Company health & wellbeing initiatives are being communicated to sites.

* Act as a champion for health & wellbeing within area of responsibility and assist with any site–specific health and wellbeing activities.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:

* Ideally a minimum 2 years' experience of working in construction industry

* Practical experience in an employability, social value, community engagement and customer care environment.

* Demonstrate understanding of Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and ability to promote.

* The ability to develop and implement a community benefits plan.

* Demonstrate experience of establishing, collating and reporting on KPIs/Business targets.

* Ability to communicate at a senior level both verbally and in writing.

* Demonstrate ability to use ICT packages to record and prepare stakeholder information

* Work well within a team and develop strong lasting relationships with third parties / clients.

* Be experienced and competent in providing tender responses relating to the job role.

* Have a third level qualification or equivalent industry experience (desirable)
