Technology Director - Gallium Nitride (GaN)

About the role
Nexperia has an exciting opportunity for a GaN technology expert to join our team. The GaN Technology Director holds a pivotal position within our Power GaN FETs product group, providing technical and strategic leadership for new and expanding GaN product group. The successful candidate will be required to support the GaN product group in developing a world class design and development team as well as providing technical guidance for technology and product roadmap.
Reporting directly to the GaN product group General Manager, this role is particularly suited to a highly motivated individual looking for a challenging growth opportunity within Nexperia's fastest growing business line. An open minded entrepreneurial mindset is required.
What you will do
* Align GaN product development, process development, package development and program management with the best possible market opportunities
* Support the execution of business critical, high profile platform and product release projects
* Develop and drive the GaN product group process and technology roadmaps
* Explore and implement novel technology concepts, technical improvements and process changes
* Collaborate with internal and external industry peers as the GaN team's senior technical expert and as a member of the business group's R&D leadership team
What you will need
* Degree or equivalent, ideally PhD, in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a similar discipline
* In depth understanding of Power MOSFETs / GaN technologies, products and packaging
* Proven track record of on time delivery of new product and technology creation projects
* Ability to communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly and to influence stakeholders at all levels
* Willingness to travel globally as needed
