Fibre Project Manager
Location: Newcastle, NE31 2EQ
Salary: GBP40 to GBP50k pa, DOE
Contract: Full time & Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours

This is an exciting time to join IQA, at a period of growth and diversification. IQA, in conjunction with Elecnor, as part of the Telecommunication market in the UK. We have been awarded a FTTH contract on behalf of City Fibre. As such we are looking to recruit experienced professionals in Newcastle for this long–term project.
About the Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Project Manager to be based out of our premises in Newcastle supporting all aspects of our FTTH contract.
This role will be overseeing the day–to–day operations from a project and financial perspective and focusing on the execution of the project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget. Your primary role will be to ensure existing projects, are operating within agreed targets, managing sub contractors and ensuring the smooth running of all fibre related work on the project.
Day to day tasks are as follows (but not limited to):
* Manage and lead the fibre work of the project and on a day to day basis, and oversee sub–contractors.
* Control programmes, budgets and financial reporting in order to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget.
* Manage the delivery of works as required. Work with Head of Operations, sub–contractors and Supervisors as necessary.
* Carry out site visits, attend progress meetings with Senior management and local managers, and produce associated reports for the Head of Operations in order to ensure that IQA fulfils its obligations to the project.
* Manage the procurement of fibre works/services, co–ordinate and control.
* Review, understand and reconcile project costs, check invoices, question any differences, highlight areas of concern where necessary and sign–off invoices for approval in order to ensure IQA gets value for money and operates within budget.
Candidate Requirements:
* Batchelors degree or equivalent
* Excellent commercial acumen and Project Management skills
* Experience in a similar role at a similar level
* Commercial awareness
* Proven track record in managing people and client relationships
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability of influencing at all levels
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
* Good PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) ERP System knowledge would be an advantage
* Experience of working in a fast–paced environment
* Ability to analyse data and recognise trends
* Proactive with new ideas for efficiencies, improvements
* Good health and safety knowledge and practices
* Full driving licence
