The role of Insight, Pricing, Merchandising (IPM) Business Analyst is to lead in the gathering of information, the analysis and presentation of data and the delivery of all business process related workflows for the Pricing, Merchandising and Insight team.

Core Role Purpose: The delivery of change through sustainable D2C process inception, improvement, and delivery.

* The delivery of structure and process for the ongoing revenue development of B2C and D2C channels – focused on online 3rd party online marketplaces (Amazon 3P, eBay and others) but including all aspects of process development directly focused on driving D2C and B2C revenue.

* The post holder will be seen as the go–to colleague for all process development questions, process development, project planning and delivery.

* The post holder will need to be able to effectively communicate results, suggestions, and actionable insight across a diverse stakeholder group (Editorial teams, Sales teams, Marketing teams, Technical Development teams, Data Architecture teams)

More broadly the post holder will support the IPM Director in ensuring that process strategy and strategy implementation actively supports the budget, targets, and goals of the wider books function. The post–holder will work closely with the Director and colleagues across the business to support buy–in, cross–functional collaboration and help to ensure projects are delivered to time and to specification goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Direct ownership and responsibility for the delivery of sustainable structures, processes and methods that support B2C and D2C revenue growth. Primarily focused on the inception and development of 3rd party online marketplaces.

* Direct ownership of development and process execution to manage 3rd party partners, such as; data flows, data reporting processes and integrations, merchandising process, payment process, customer service and logistic process.

* Direct ownership of the internal process development to manage title selection and pricing rulesets to maximise revenue holistically across D2C/B2C channels – working closely with the Merchandising Team, Pricing Team and other B2C & B2B stakeholders across the business.

* Direct ownership and responsibility for reporting processes. The post holder will take a lead role in developing and managing reporting, reporting governance, and ensuring informed decision making on process development and implementation across the wider stakeholder group.

* Support the DM and Head of Pricing, and work with Editorial and Sales colleagues, on the creation of rulesets and process to manage title selection and pricing across online marketplace channels.

* Ownership of the relationship with internal technology development teams and the primary contact for external partners technology and development teams. Owner of the selection and development process for external tools and channel integration partners.

* Support the IPM DM in the development and communication medium term process development strategy. Own, manage and develop strategies and tactics for the financial evaluation of competing projects and process priorities.

* Ensure that best practice, understanding, reports and data are shared across project teams and more widely across the commercial functions.

* Effectively manage stakeholder relationships including proactive communication and feedback.

* Effectively collaborate and engage colleagues and work as part of multifunctional project teams.

* Effectively manage own work to minimise obstacles and use of appropriate escalation routes to resolve conflict or blockages.
