Group Finance Business Partner

We are looking for a dynamic Finance Business Partner to work out of our Head Office in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for working with key stake holders across the business to support good commercial decision–making driving commercial finance and advising our people to achieve the best results. We're looking for a real people person, with a strong character that's able to challenge the norm and effect business decisions in a positive way.

What you'll be doing day to day

• Work collaboratively with senior team members to help drive the business forwards, supporting with advice and guidance in key areas of Finance
• Providing financial information, tools, analysis and insight to help make decisions to drive the business strategy
• Provide effective commercial procedures, or initiating change to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered
• Improve the impact, and understanding of financial reporting on business performance
• Challenge budgets and financial decisions to ensure best value for money is attained on both a technical and financial business case
• Partnering with the project managers in key areas by providing them with meaningful and accurate information that empowers them to drive financial performance in their area
• Maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams
• Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities in the department and look at actions to mitigate risks

The experience we're looking for in a candidate

• Previous experience of working within a Finance Business Partner role is essential
• Hold a qualification within Accounts (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Have extensive experience of working within construction
• Have experience of leading, encouraging and implementing decisions around Finance
• Have a strong commercial understanding
• Assist with the improvement of Financial Reporting whilst understanding key variances and building reports as required to enhance understanding across the teams
