Description
Are you an experienced residential property lawyer who is looking to manage a successful team of fee-earners within a supportive environment where you will be given all the resources necessary to help develop and shape a department?
We are working with a large regional law firm who are looking to recruit a senior property lawyer to head up their residential team. The residential team is very busy at the moment but it is not under resourced and it does not undertake volume conveyancing. A lot of the work that the team does is from referrals from other department and they act for a number of higher net worth clients.
The team has a number of fee earners and you would be responsible for directly managing them. The firm need somebody with significant management experience.
You will be supported by senior Partners within the firm but they are looking for somebody who wants to shape and develop the department themselves - this will involve day-to-day management of the fee earners, responsibility for the financials of the team, driving performance and setting up systems and structures for the team to run more efficiently and effectively.
This is a very important recruit for the firm so they would be looking for somebody to come in at Senior Associate level or, if the candidate already has significant Partner experience within a large or regional firm, then there may be the opportunity to come in as a Partner.
Thereafter it is envisaged that the successful applicant will be invited after 12 months to enter into an equity partnership scenario where they can expect an income in the six-figure region and with an increasing profit share with the passage of time. The practice is extremely profitable and solvent.
Profile
It is likely that you have significant PQE (probably at least 3 yrs+) as a qualified residential property solicitor and significant management/Partner level experience of running a successful residential team. no following is not required.
