greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Project Accountant to join an established Automotive business based in the West Midlands. The finance team is currently undergoing a restructure and as such this Project Accountant post has been newly created. This is a great opportunity to join a business going through growth and also be able to develop this new position and add value to the existing team and wider business.
The main purpose of the Project Accountant is to support both the Commercial and Engineering side of the business to drive efficiencies, profitability and maximise cash flows. You will be responsible for all aspects of the financial management and reporting of Tooling contracts, including sales invoicing, sales reserves, profitability estimates using long term accounting cost to complete methodology.
Main Responsibilities:

Management Accounts and project accounting
*
Cost Control
*
Budgeting and Forecasting - working with Engineering and commercial teams to produce budgets and forecasts.
*
Produce monthly and weekly flash reports
*
Costing - understanding of labor and overhead rate calculations
*
Working Capital
*
KPI's
*
Revenue Growth - support commercial bid process
*
Other ad hoc tasks to drive business performance.
The Candidate:
*
Qualified ACCA/CIMA
*
Project and long term accounting experience
*
Experience of working within the manufacturing sector
*
Business partnering experience
