HEAD OF TECHNICAL SERVICES – LARGE FM PROVIDER – LONDON BASED WITH NATIONAL TRAVEL – UP TO 75K

One of the countries large FM service providers are currently looking to recruit a key position within one of their biggest national contracts.

The ideal candidate must have a wealth of experience within the critical engineering sector and the main purpose of the role is to provide a single point of contact for the identification and resolution of all technical issues across a number of commercial buidlings and data centres; specifically focussing on technical and critical engineering.

Key Objectives of the Role:

Support all buildings in the investigation and resolution of technical issues and incidents.
Lead in the provision of technical support to technical issues on accounts during business hours and outside business hours on–call as required.
Manage technical investigations and provide high level direction to internal and external teams.
Understand the commercial implications of technical actions.
Develop business case for implementation of recommendations when required.
Communication of technical issues and course of action to senior management.
To support the establishment, implementation and maintenance of technical standards.
To maintain and, where possible, improve engineering standards and contribute to the materiel state of Technical Support through assurance visits to site managers and out sourced workforces.
Maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders including, clients, suppliers and other partners within a region.
As a member of the Senior Engineering Team, to be an ambassador and key player ensuring high and consistent standards across the business.
To regularly review the supply chain to ensure best value product and service is delivered.
Create and maintain a database of all engineering skills and experience for all Site Managers and Engineering supervisors.
Manage steering groups and forums that bring together all senior engineers at regular intervals.Applicants for this role must be able to meet the following criteria:

Fully electrically or mechanically qualified to a recognised level
Proven engineering experience within a critical environment.
Previous experience working at a senior management level.
Must be an excellent communicator.The role is predominantly based in London but they will be occasional national travel to Bristol and Scotland.
