Purpose of the Role:
You will be joining a brand new and expanding Design team with multiple projects with major operators. The Design Engineer will be responsible for producing high quality technical and structural designs for multiple projects, servicing various clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team, with our mission being to produce top quality drawings in line with client's specifications. Duties and Responsibilities:
To Compile designs for CAD Technicians to produce in line with the requirements of MBNL and CTIL project specific standards/specifications
To interpret solutions into outline designs for review including 3D modelling where appropriate
To review drawings for quality in design and safety in line with company and client requirements and processes.
To Liaise with Structural and Electrical Engineers to produce detailed fabrication/electrical drawings for production
Help to maintain library of AutoCAD Blocks and Templates
Help to maintain library of Client documentation
Support Design Team in the delivery of high quality, accurate project documentation
Support Design Team Cad staff in day to day works, providing guidance as required.
Keep all internal and client systems up to date ensuring all work & milestone details are captured
Work to strict deadlines, able to manage pressures and work loads
Good communication skills to be able to liaise with the Design team
Skills – Essential
Engineering qualification or equivalent
Structural design experience ideal
Must be proficient in design softwares (preferably SOLIDWORKS & AutoCAD)
Computer literate such as Microsoft office
Good level of maths and number skills
Proven ability to work and learn in fast–paced environment
Ability to organise work and support others in a timely and effective manner
Able to multitask, work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating a collaborative approach
