Smartpro are working in partnership with a Specialist Milk Haulage Company who are recruiting for a permanent Administrator/ Bookkeeper to join their team. Our clients business oversees 4 depots with 45 employees. They specialise in collecting milk daily from Dairy Farms and delivering milk to Processing Factories across the South West, West Wales and The Midlands.
You will be based at their Head Office in Chepstow, which is the workplace for the Director, Administrator, Depot and Transport Manager, Workshop Manager, Workshop Fitter and Bookkeeper.
Areas of Responsibility.
* Use of Sage, specifically, Sage 50 Cloud Accounts Professional.
* Use of Sage Payroll. Linking in with Time Clock Data.
* Data entry – taking information from driver's delivery paperwork and entering it onto spreadsheets which are communicated to our customers through a system of share folders.
* Reporting milk collection data to customers.
* Payroll – looking after/entering drivers' hours across all 4 depots.
* Communicating with drivers
* Support Director with paperwork, secretarial services and managing emails and queries.
* Inputting purchase invoices on Sage
* Sage Sales Order Processing
* Monthly invoicing and balancing milk collections and deliveries.
* Support bookkeeper and provide holiday cover.
* Office Management.
* Working closely with Director, Bookkeeper and Accountant.
Person Specification.
Essential Requirements;
* Excellent organisational skills including an ability to prioritise.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Forward thinking and improving ways of working.
* Happy working in a team and able to use their own initiative.
* Confident using Microsoft Excel, Sage 50 Cloud Accounts Package.
Training;
* Training will be provided for;
* The time clocking system.
* The use of share folders as a means of communicating between depots and customers.
* The production of Monthly Invoices from Sales Order systems.
Due to location own transport is desirable
