Head of Data Engineering - Sports Betting/Python/Data

Sports Betting company is looking for a Head Of Data Engineering to join them in a permanent position, based in London.

As the Head of Data Engineering, you'll lead, manage and direct the team of engineers to provide the company with a world-class sports data database.

You will be in a key position to make a difference: ensuring that your team priorities are aligned with the business strategy; shaping the data architecture and flow; driving technical decisions; and working alongside teams of quants, data analysts and software developer to deliver our products and services to our clients.

Key requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Python software engineer/developer working on Back End data solutions
• Sports betting/Gaming/Gambling background is desired
• Experience of management of data/software engineers team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for all levels of an organisation
• Strong understanding of data solution architectures providing Real Time and batch data processing
• Experience in managing projects from inception to delivery
• Knowledge of a number of different project management and delivery methodologies and an understanding of when to apply them
