Commercial Lawyer - Contracts and Procurement

Are you a Commercial Lawyer (Contracts and Procurement) in the Cheshire region? We are looking for an experienced individual available for interim work.

The main duties of this role:

• Managing caseloads unsupervised
• Assisting the Principal Lawyer on specific projects and working groups as required.
• Providing commercial legal advice and assistance to client departments and ensuring that the decisions made by the client departments are within the legal boundaries and achieve their aims and objectives and accord with County Council policy.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a recognised legal qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive.
• Have good procurement/commercial law experience - Minimum 3 years experience.
• Understand the legal framework and case law relating to commercial law (including contract, and procurement law).

Time frame: 6 months (option for permanent basis)
