Corporate Director - Regeneration

Our client are a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Corporate Director of Regeneration to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant. Our client is looking for someone who can come on board and provide outstanding and effective leadership i n the develop ment, implement ation, delivery, and continuous improvement to the r egeneration strategy for the short- and long-term profitability and growth of the conurbation. The short-term objective will be to scope and successfully procure the most effective commercial vehicle for regeneration within the conurbation, within the required governance and legislation.

You will act as the authority's lead officer for planning the regeneration strategy and development of the most appropriate regeneration vehicle to ensure the best possible services and outcomes for the people and to ensure that all regeneration commissioning delivers safe and effective services, within the context of the business governance framework and secure value for money in all areas of regeneration and development activity of the council and wider public services in the conurbation. You will also be part of the business Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, recognising that this role incorporates ownership, commitment and leadership responsibilities for delivery of Council Strategies and Goals. Excellent Leadership of a multi-agency team from start-up to delivery in line with the desired values and behaviours.
