We own and operate a global portfolio of power stations in Australia, North America and Europe. In the UK we operate a number of assets across Essex and the Midlands focused on Landfill Gas power generation.
We are now recruiting for an Interim HR Business Partner for an immediate start and to finish at the end of January 2022.
About the HR Business Partner role:
Working within a team of less than 50 employees in the UK you will be responsible for the Management of our HR policies and systems from recruitment right through to payroll and everything in–between. This is a truly generalist role and would suit someone who is really confident in a variety of HR topics and can operate without direct supervision. You will be responsible for effective and accurate HR administration and the use of a number of systems and portals.
Supporting the UK Management Team you will provide both reactive and proactive advice to ensure that the business meets UK legislation. Along with the important daily aspects of a HR role there is opportunity to develop the UK agenda in other areas such as Wellbeing and Diversity.
You will act as Line Manager to two Office Co–ordinators who provide more general support across the business. You will be responsible for effective coaching and direction to ensure you make the best use of your resources.
The role will be home based initially but once it is safe to do so will be based from our Head Office location in Towcester. Flexibility is important in the role as you will be expected to attend sites as needed (Essex and Midlands) and also work outside traditional office hours on occasion to engage with colleagues in other countries.
We are a supportive and friendly team who value diversity and welcome applications from people who meet the role specifications below and have a similar supportive mindset.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for:
* Assuming the role of the first point of contact for all HR–related queries.
* Setting up and maintaining HR software/payroll package (IRIS HR).
* Managing all UK internal investigation, grievance and disciplinary procedures ensuring fair and consistent process.
* Providing guidance to Managers on changes to legislation and how this will impact the UK team
* Overseeing the co–ordination of mandatory safety training across the UK and supporting the Office Support function in gaining 100% completion
* Providing regular training workshops or one to one coaching session to line managers on 'best practice' procedures.
* Coordination of the Recruitment and Selection process.
* Drafting variations to employment contracts and any other communications to employees.
* Identifying employee sick leave absence, through direct liaison with supervisors and managers on a weekly basis providing guidance.
* Managing any and all employee relations in line with the company's policies and procedures.
* Management of any business employee changes within UK such as restructuring, resizing, redundancy procedures and termination agreements.
* Managing GDPR procedures and policies for all UK Employment relations.
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
* Experience in a similar HR role for a company with approximately 50 employees. Alternatively a role in a larger organization with the ability to demonstrate a breadth of experience and accountability
* Ideally CIPD Level 5 or above.
* A good level of experience of different ER cases and working with / at different levels of the business.
* A high level of competence with Microsoft Office packages.
