Job Description

This role forms part of the Transformation Office team and its purpose is to play a key role in ensuring the initiatives of the transformation plan are delivered on time, at a high quality to meet the timescales and value targets announced to board and the market. It focuses around two areas;

  1. Oversee the ongoing, seamless implementation of the transformation programme against the commitment to the board within specific workstreams
  2. Promote the development of new initiatives which support the strategic direction of the business in line with transformation strategic objectives

Working alongside Senior Transformation team members, you will:

  • Be responsible for driving the process for identifying, planning, executing and realising the value from emerging initiatives by working alongside the relevant workstream stakeholders to develop and progress the transformation delivery plans, including establishing initiatives, milestones and agreeing accountabilities
  • Engage, collaborate and challenge the Exec and teams across Rank to ensure the transformation workstream plan has appropriate levels of stakeholder engagement and buy–in, and own the appropriate governance forums and processes to drive the delivery and flag any challenges to the delivery
  • Lead workgroups and committees to promote new developments, ensure continuous improvement, and keep others informed about the work and progress
  • Provide project management and coordination, including the development of work plans and facilitation of activities and resources to achieve objectives. Develop and monitor dependencies, conflicts and opportunities across the programme and assigned workstream(s), including effective risk management
  • Design and distribute regular reporting to stakeholders (e.g. workstream meetings) and provide updates to the transformation office for regular weekly executive, monthly board, and quarterly shareholder meetings, or other ad–hoc reporting requirements
  • Drive the transformation cadence and effective implementation of the plan by;
    • Facilitating regular workstream meetings
    • Supporting workstream business owners, and managing senior stakeholders (Exec, Director's, Heads of) and influencing them to remove blockers
    • Providing constructive challenge and solutions and hold initiative owners accountable for deliverables
    • Ensuring the accuracy of the data within the reporting tool (Wave), to correctly reflect the latest milestones, synergies and financial values
    • Championing promotion of the transformation delivery across Rank (e.g. engagement events)
    • Identifying and managing cross–dependencies across workstreams
    • "Diving" into the detail to help problem solving and resolution of issues

Qualifications

  • Proven track record for planning and implementation of complex projects or programmes
  • Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience in previous consultancy roles is highly desirable
  • Experience of project management using AGILE or PRINCE2 methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects is highly desirable
  • Good commercial mindset and confidence with numbers
  • Highly proficient skills in Excel and PowerPoint – experience with programme management tools desirable (e.g. MS Project/Wave)
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Proven ability to deliver in fast–paced and challenging environments
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Fully independent to manage their own workload within specified deadlines
  • Ambitious, self–starter who is focused on delivering highest quality outputs
  • Must be a strong problem solver to be able to formulate new ideas and get around blockers
  • Team player who can work collaboratively with others across the business
  • Must be comfortable with challenging people at all levels of the business
