Operations Director

Operations Director– Spider is advertising on behalf of a transportation company based in Felixstowe, Suffolk. The business has continued to grow throughout the pandemic, delivering great customer service in difficult times through our existing customer base as well as on boarding new customers. They are looking for an experienced Operations Director to join their team.

They are committed in developing the business and this role is a key in setting strategy and goals that promote company growth. As the Operations Director, you will need a transport & logistics background to research, analyse, design, and implement methods to improve their logistical needs. You will execute Operational plans designed to meet company goals through delivery focus and changing policies. You will be managing internal & external partners and suppliers.

You will also be required to:

Prepare and manage budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed. Manage team workloads to meet goals and deadlines.
Works closely with other departments to promote efficient productivity optimisation and enforces safety in the workplace.
Evaluate the efficiency of business procedures against company objectives and identify improvement areas, plan, and implement systems to boost company effectiveness. This will also include Develops plans to transform, increase efficiency reduce costs and Improves existing systems and policies.

To be considered you will need previous experience as Director of Operations or equivalent position and previous experience in coffee / hospitality / service industries. You will need excellent organisational and leadership abilities as well as outstanding communication, people skills and coaching skill. You will need to be familiar with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM). You will have working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics Safety, Quality, and Cost Objectives.

This Operations Director position is a Full–Time position. In return, for the ideal candidate is a salary of GBP60,000–GBP70,000 per annum dependant on experience.
