Our client who is in the Financial Services sector is looking to recruit a Commercial solicitor to join its legal team based in North Yorkshire.
Description
The role responsibilities will include
Providing general commercial legal advice across all levels of the business to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulation.
Identifying key material legal risks and seeking to mitigate and protect the clients position.
You'll also be drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, some of these include: IT outsourcing/service contracts, Software and support contracts Introducer, marketing, consultancy, and agency agreements General supply and distribution agreements, distribution agreements Data transfer agreements Digital media and telecom agreements Agreements with various types of third party suppliers for products such as home/contents insurance, funeral planning and other commercial agreements as needed.
As part of the role your assistance to the Senior Contracts lawyer in all matters arising from the day-to-day business is essential to make sure there is a smooth and consistent running of the team. As part of your role you will be expected to monitor new contract/regulatory law relevant to the business.
Profile
Our client who is based in North Yorkshire is looking to recruit a Commercial solicitor who has demonstrated effective influencing and persuasion skills in the provision of sound and commercial pragmatic legal advice. An excellent communicator, both verbal and written at all levels within the business and have good co-ordinating skills with all the different business areas. You will be able to demonstrate proven organisation, planning and IT skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Commercial solicitors from either private practice or an in house background should apply for this role.
