Our client is looking for a high calibre finance individual with a strong background in both financial & management accounting and exceptional commercial acumen and partnering skills. The business have experienced a period of exceptional growth over recent years with further growth forecast.
This role of Financial Controller is for a fully qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW) Accountant with strong communication skills the ability to hit the ground running in the crucial Number 2 (to CFO) position.
- Business partnering to the Senior management team
- Management of a small team
- Preparation, review and reporting of management accounts against budgets and forecasts
- Overseeing all aspects of financial preparation including Flash forecasts & KPI's
- Statutory Accounts/YE reporting/Audit lead
- All aspects of tax including VAT & corporation tax
- Annual budget preparation
- Indirect supervision of the wider finance function including purchase & sales ledger/Credit Control.
Our client is seeking a candidate who has strong PQE at Finance Manager or ideally Financial Controller level as you will need to hit the ground running quickly. A large part of the role is partnering closely with the business providing value add and supporting further business growth. Technically it's expected you will have a wealth of experience/up to date knowledge here, however this role is very much focused on being in and around the business.
