Elevation are delighted to be working with one of Sheffield's most prestigious and historically successful service providers in their search for a new Head of Financial Accounting. This award winning company have a long and rich heritage within the city, and are now nationally known and recognised in their field of expertise.
In this role you will be one of the key senior leaders within the Group's finance function, leading the financial controls across the entire group. In the present, you will have the control over balance sheet as well as key accounting judgement areas. For the the future, you will be managing the the accounting for acquisitions and helping to shape the overall strategy through a control over management and financial accounts - as well as subsidiary accounting. Your keen eye for detail will play an integral part in ensuring group policies and controls are kept on point and updated regularly.
Alongside the prep and submission of the group consolidated financial statements and reporting, you will be tasked with the maintenance of the group fixed asset register. The company are looking with someone with a penchant for change and making improvements - so this is a position where you can really make your mark. Your ability to present and liaise with senior internal and external figures will be tested - with you being asked to perform detailed quarterly reports, balance sheet reviews and manage the audit process across the group.
You will be working closely with a personable and ambitious Head of Financial Reporting, and managing a confident and talented team. You need to be Qualified, with technical knowledge under UK GAAP and IFRS. Ideally you will have worked in a complex medium to large sized business and have a strong background in implementing and managing new and improved processed.
