My client a leading non governmental department body have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Project Delivery working within the Water & Environment sector.
This unique opportunity is working within the public sector, to lead and develop a team of circa 15 Project management and project engineering professionals overseeing effective delivery of projects across multiple programmes for internal and external clients. The project base includes those arising from waste water treatment and re–mediation within the mine water treatment sector
The main purpose of this role is role is to provide senior leadership and strategic direction to the projects delivery team. To lead and develop the team, ensuring it has the right balance of skills and experience to deliver its objectives.
The successful applicant will have overall budgetary responsibility for a capital budget of circa GBP30–40 million p/annum.

Leadership and direction
accountable for capital investment programme
stakeholder management
budget responsibility for GBP30–40m p/annum
programme governance
internal stakeholder management
manage the external supply chain including consultants and design and build engineering frameworks
Person specification
Ideally applicants should be degree qualified in a suitable engineering discipline and hold project and programme management qualifications and training. In addition corporate membership of a relevant professional body or a leadership qualification would be desirable. EG managing successful programmes.
Applicants should have significant experience of project and programme delivery preferably in civil engineering / Infrastructure / Water management environment.
