Business Analyst – required for our client to join their friendly team in Cambridge. The role for the Business Analyst is to join a very well established Engineering company.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding the systems architecture utilised for management of workflow by the Business delivery and Support teams identifying key data points that inform the management information required by the Business to successfully deliver the full year Business Plan.
Business Analyst Position Overview
Apply the performance management processes consistently across the team you are responsible for ensuring the performance appraisal set clear expectations of performance and is adequately supported with training and development
Collect information as required for processing of team member wages, overtime, holiday, sickness and medical information by required deadlines
Managing the provision of timely and accurate information
To generate relevant and insightful MI for stakeholders across the business that enables effective action to be taken in securing delivery of the Business Plan
To assist with testing of various new tools and troubleshooting / defect fixing of any existing tools as and when required using root cause analysis to identify the cause of the problem with recommendation on appropriate solution
Analysis of systems, data and resulting reports for stakeholders – including analysis of different data points to provide insights that proactively highlights areas of opportunity and risk
Undertake data analysis identifying trends and patterns in data contributing to both strong performance and underperformance working with Operational teams to adopt/flex ways of working to drive improved Business performance
Identify efficiency gains available in current reporting processes, measures and systems.
Business Analyst Position Requirements
Able to manipulate data in MS Project, Access and Excel
Gathering and interpreting business requirements
Background in the production of process map and requirement documents
Background in civil engineering, telecoms or utilities
Knowledge of project management methodologies Strong numerical ability – A–level or above
Experience in Power BI reporting tool – desired
A–level or above
Business Analyst Position Remuneration
Hours: 40 per week
Salary: Up to GBP36,000 (Depending on experience)
Holiday: 25 days
