Treetops Hospice are currently looking for a Head of Supporter Relationships to join us in Risley. You will join us on a full–time, permanent basis and in return, will receive a salary of £38,760 per annum.

Treetops Hospice Care provides nursing care and emotional support for anyone affected by life–limiting illness or bereavement in Southern Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. Therapeutic Services delivers counselling and emotional support, and complementary therapy to people of all ages dealing with bereavement or life–limiting illness.

About the Head of Supporter Relationships role:

Our supporters are hugely important and the Head of Supporter Relationships’ job is to make sure we build amazing relationships with them. They must feel valued and be engaged with Treetops. As the senior manager in charge, you need to place our relationships with supporters at the core of the charity. In this strategic and very hands on role, you will start from the ground up to help us build our relationship strategy, supporter journeys and data practices. You will take the lead with supporter communications, regular giving, appeals and Gift Aid.

Key responsibilities of our Head of Supporter Relationships:

– Your aim will be to inspire and maintain engagement with our supporters in order to create high–value lifetime relationships
– Working across multiple teams, you will define the strategic direction for Treetops’ supporter experience, focused on building high levels of engagement, care and retention
– You will have overall responsibility for creating an insight and data–led approach that researches, develops and retains supporters and increases income
– You will have overall responsibility for all supporter data and databases. Ensuring data is managed effectively, people are trained, donor journeys are in place, data and systems are integrated and processes are automated where feasible
– You will lead on supporter communications, including email and direct mail
– You will be responsible for the compliance and strategic direction of the Supporter Relationships department, including lottery
– You will be responsible for generating income through our lottery, regular giving and appeals
– You will lead on Gift Aid, ensuring that as many donors as possible have an active Gift Aid declaration
– You will lead on thanking supporters and responding to any supporter complaints or feedback, ensuring that the supporters are listened to, the best resolutions are achieved and complaints are handled in line with Fundraising Regulator guidelines

Our Ideal Head of Supporter Relationships:

– Significant experience at a senior level in a similar role
– Expert knowledge of data management
– Expert knowledge of CRM database management
– Demonstrable track record of devising and implementing  supporter relationship strategies
– In–depth experience of supporter communications via email and direct mail
– Ability to implement automated supporter stewardship programmes
– In–depth knowledge of rules and regulations for individual giving and lottery
– Previous appeal management experience
– Highly skilled with MS Office, especially Excel
