Job Description

Need a Senior Project manager with Agile experience to manage a number of critical projects in the Pharma portfolio. You will be part of a PMO delivery function overlooking a big portfolio of intelligence and analytical products in the Pharmaceuticals space.

Role requirements

* Manage end to end delivery of a range of technical and product driven projects and programs, applying a structured, repeatable process.

* Actively manage the backlog, budget, estimation and assignment of work to the development team

* Experience in Agile techniques, and use of JIRA, Confluence, MS–Teams and other key solutions to ensure strong technical capability

* Experience managing complex technical projects that could be in artificial intelligence, infrastructure or software development

* Coach new team members and be able to provide enough knowledge–sharing within the team including line management,

* Lead the scoping and planning of high value projects, partnering with key stakeholders as appropriate

* Plan and allocate resources in partnership with key stakeholders

* Engage regularly with workstream leads to ensure each element of the programme/project is on track, providing support to manage risks, unblock issues and concerns as they arise– as well as strong documentation skills.

* Track project performance and report regularly to senior management, highlighting areas for intervention.

* Partner with internal stakeholders, Internal Communications, Finance, HR, business stakeholders, Technology as and when required during the planning and implementation.

* Identify opportunities for delivery and process improvement, and to design and deploy appropriate solutions.

* Work with the Delivery team to understand portfolio status, issues, risks and dependencies on products or platforms

* Responsible for generating Scrum / Kanban metrics and KPIs for the teams

* Production of status reports for weekly management meetings and executive management meetings to facilitate fact–based decision making

* Understand the availabilities & challenges of the delivery team and set expectations around milestones accordingly

Experience

* Demonstrable experience around project delivery

* Understanding of capacity planning and resource management

* Background of leading teams of at least 5 individuals and delivering successful results

* Demonstrated verbal and written skills with Product, Marketing & Leadership teams

* Examples of ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity and multiple partners, being able to influence others without direct authority

* Ability to demonstrate a proactive/ can do style of work

Qualifications

Experience

* Demonstrable experience around project and program delivery

* Understanding of capacity planning and resource management

* Background of leading teams of at least 3 individuals and delivering successful results

* Demonstrated verbal and written skills with Product, Marketing & Leadership teams

* Examples of ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity and multiple partners, being able to influence others without direct authority

* Ability to demonstrate a proactive/ can do style of work

Knowledge and Qualifications / Certifications (good to have):

* SCRUM Master – CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent others

* PMP or PRINCE2
